Hey there! This is my fourth year teaching at Cumberland Academy Middle School and my fourth year teaching altogether. I am originally from California but I was raised in New Mexico. I have lived in East Texas for the past six years and I absolutely love it. I have a twelve year old daughter who will be starting the seventh grade here at CAMS. We love Starbucks, dogs, music, hot fries, chocolate, having fun, playing games, travel (ask us about our summer trips) and making new friends.

In my class, I like to play a lot of games, do projects and connect math to the real world.  The only way to learn math and become confident in math skills is by practice, practice, practice.  We will have homework 3-4 days a week, however, most assignments will not be longer than 10 problems.  Please help your student be successful in math by checking to see that they have completed their homework.  Math is a building subject that scaffolds.  We use what we learn on Monday to help solve Tuesday.  Please check with your student, on our Remind, and on Google Classroom for important updates and announcements.

My goal is to help your child gain an appreciation and love for math. I have a desire to help guide your children down the right paths. Guiding children is one of the most rewarding parts of my career. I look forward to building relationships with you and your children. Please don't hesitate to email me with any questions or concerns. This is going to be an amazing year! Go Knights!
