I am excited and honored to join Cumberland Academy Middle School this year. The staff and students have been very welcoming and made my start at Cumberland a great one!

I am the assistant boys athletic coach, PE teacher and teaching the CTE course of Dollars & Sense.

Laura (my wife), Stanley (our dog), and I moved to Tyler from Galveston, TX this summer and we absolutely love it.

I was born and raised in Oklahoma City, OK and graduated from Putnam City High School (OKC) in 1999.

After starting college, I joined the Navy and was trained as a Naval Aircrewman. When my time in the Navy ended in 2004, I began working in banking, insurance and government.

I began my teacher career in 2022 in Galveston teaching social studies.

I met Laura in 2007 and we were married the next year.  We have lived in numerous locations during our marriage; Fort Worth, TX, OKC, Estes Park, CO, Lago Vista, TX, Knoxville, TN and Galveston, TX. 

We are huge sports fans and travelers. On Sundays in fall, you will find us rooting on our Green Bay Packers.
