3rd period Math-8th Grade Assignments

Go to your To Do list and make sure everything has been marked as Done or Turned in.

Choose whichever options you are facing.

On each Card, three of the representations describe the same linear relationship. Identify the one that does not match the others and rewrite it so that all 4 representations describe the same linear relationship. You will turn in the paper copy of the recording sheet.

You will write 2 different papers. Put only your First and Last name in the top right corner. You may choose which one to start with, but you will write on both topics. You need to turn it in before the end of class. You may use any resources in Google Classroom or around the room as references for good Math vocabulary. Make sure to use your best punctuation and good language usage.

Use your notes from this unit to prepare for a test over the Pythagorean Theorem. We'll do the 3D Applications on Friday. Be ready for test on Monday.

Create a right triangle by sketching the rise over run. These are the legs of the right triangle. Use the Pythagorean Theorem to then find the length of the hypotenuse, which is the same as the length of the line segment on the coordinate plane.

After taking our notes in class, there are 4 different Khan Academy assignments I expect you to complete to practice using the Pythagorean Theorem. The link is for the first assignment. When you have successfully completed that one, go to the next Pencil icon to the next assignment.

In preparation for a test, please complete the Study guide. Use our notes to look up the things you do not remember.

Be very careful on the Khan Academy assignment. Look at the labeled angles and consider which ones are Interior, Exterior or special Angle Relationships.

After completing the paper homework, please go to your assignments in KhanAcademy and complete the Equations Practice with Angles.

Complementary Angles add up to 90 degrees.
Supplementary angles add up to 180 degrees.
Adjacent angles are side by side, sharing a common ray.

When you have completed the assessment, take a screenshot of your results. Attach the screenshot to this assignment. We will use the data in Khan Academy.
