OVERVIEW

Technology
Cumberland Academy is on the forefront of technology integration in education. As one of the first iSchools in the State of Texas, we are committed to staying on the cutting edge of technology as we prepare our students to succeed in this technology-oriented world.

Each middle school student is provided with an iPad to use throughout the school year for students to research, view video clips on subject matter, and complete assignments. Additionally, all CAMS classrooms have Apple TVs which allow teachers to annotate documents live, demonstrate apps, use as an interactive whiteboard, and walk the room while remaining connected.

Each high school student is provided with an Apple MacBook Air to use during the school year. Apple TVs and large monitors are used throughout the campus to enhance lessons.

Academics
We are proud to offer a strong curriculum of core classes and a host of elective classes which give students a well-balanced education. From Spanish classes for our youngest to dual credit history for our oldest, your student will be supported and challenged.

Our partnership with Tyler Junior College allows high school students to take college-level classes and earn both high school and college credit. During students' freshman year, they have the opportunity to take part in the TJC Promise Scholarship where they can earn up to two years of free tuition and fees by upholding the standards of the promise in academic achievement, persistence, and community service.

High school students in need of higher academic rigor than regular courses offer may choose to Pre-AP and/or AP courses for an extra challenge.

Arts
Cumberland Academy seeks to inspire an appreciation of the arts for all students. Throughout their educational journeys, students are able to participate in dance, band, orchestra, choir, theater, and visual arts.
