Hello Knights! I'm Ms. Tanton and I will be teaching 7th grade science this year! I earned my degree in Environmental Science from Texas A&M University - Commerce in 2018 with an emphasis in Biology. I was a chemistry major before that so I have learned a lot of science! This is my sixth year with Cumberland Academy and I think middle schoolers are the most fun to teach. I love sharing my own love of science with students and I strive to make science accessible and interesting to everyone. 

 

I have two of my own children who will also be attending Cumberland Academy Middle School this year and we live here in Tyler. I enjoy hiking at the Tyler State Park, gardening, playing video games and volunteering with FindAGrave.com.
