Our incredible group earned First Place for UIL One Act Play with scenes from Wiley and the Hairy Man by Suzan Zeder, directed by CC Weatherly and Ashlyn Fleet marking our second straight year taking home the top award!
Out of 125 students, two of our very own were named the top overall performers of the entire day—a rare and remarkable accomplishment!
✨ Congratulations to:
• Levi Durbin as Wiley
• Alaina Miller as Mammy
Our technical and performance team also earned outstanding recognition:
• Best Lighting Technician: Jazziel Mata
• Honorable Mention: Mason Pridgen as the Hairy Man
• Best Crew Member(Stage Manager): Kenzie Lewis
These students poured their hearts into this performance, and their joy is absolutely contagious. I could not be more proud of their dedication, talent, and willingness to explore the human condition through theatre.
Thank you for the privilege of helping guide and encourage them.
