With the passage of Texas Senate Bill 569, which expands access and flexibility for virtual and hybrid instruction across public schools, the door has opened for districts to reimagine how learning is delivered. Cumberland Academy intends to be at the forefront of this work.
Introducing: CUMBERLAND CONNECT — Learning Without Limits. A High School Virtual/Hybrid Pilot Program (9th–12th) launching Spring 2026.
What to Know:
This pilot is open to newly enrolled students, unless otherwise approved by campus administration
•
Virtual Learning = 100% online instruction
•
Hybrid Learning = a mix of online + in-person classes
•
Students in both models will still have access to extracurricular activities
Know a student who is currently homeschooled or enrolled in a virtual or hybrid program?

Looking Ahead:
Our long-term goal is to expand virtual and hybrid options to ALL 9th–12th grade students for the 2026–2027 school year.
